Cement tile roof restoration
Step 1: Pressure cleaning
Prior to coating, our experts will thoroughly clean and prepare your tiles using high-pressure cleaners that operate at up to 3000psi, removing all dirt, grime and fungus.
Step 2: Replace broken tiles
Cracked tiles are replaced where necessary.
Step 3: Pointing
We apply flexible polymer mortar to point ridge caps.
Step 4: Sealer coat
At this stage, we apply the Roofshield polymer or primer coat. This product is designed to penetrate and adhere to the tile surface in order to provide a firm base for the coloured protective membrane coatings.
Step 5: First colour coat
Using airless spray equipment to provide the volume required, we will apply the first coat of the Roofshield protective membrane to your roof. By using our process of combining the coating with the airless spray system, we can help to prevent over-spraying your roof.
Step 6: Second colour coat
At this stage, we will apply a second colour coat of coloured protective membrane to your roof.
Terracotta tile restoration
Step 1: Apply anti-fungal
To eradicate the fungus and algae on your roof, our specialists use a fungicidal cleanser that will also weaken lichen and moss attachments.
Step 2: Pressure cleaning
Using up to 3000psi of pressure, we will clean out the lichen, dirt, moss and fungal residue as well as grime.
Step 3: Re-bedding
Before painting begins, some roofs require bedding mortar for repairs or replacement. Depending on both your roof's condition and whether or not your roof requires it, we provide full or partial re-bedding of your roofs ridge capping.
Step 4: Re-pointing
For re-pointing your roofs, we apply a flexible polymer based mortar recognised for additional flexible compounds.
Step 5: Glazing coat
At this stage, we apply two coats of sealer glaze to seal the tiles against water penetration. This process maximises both colour and appearance.
Step 6: Before and after
We apply an even coverage over the roof to ensure your roof is well-protected and looks great.
